Essential:
(a) Post Graduation in Remote Sensing & GIS/ Geoinformatics/ Spatial Information Technology or equivalents withBachelor degree in Physics/Agriculture/Geography/Geology/Statistics/Environmental Science/ Civil Engineering/ Agriculture Engineeringfrom recognized University with 55% or more marks in aggregate (for SC/ST 50% marks).
(b) Diploma in Remote Sensing & GIS/ Geoinformatics/ Spatial Information Technology or equivalents with Master degree in Physics/ Agriculture/Geography/ Geology/ Statistics/Environmental Science/ Civil Engineering/ Agriculture Engineeringfrom recognized University with 55% or more marks in aggregate (for SC/ST 50% marks).
Desirable
• Experiences on image analysis and GIS work pertaining to crop mapping, crop assessment, and related activities • Knowledge of programming languages
Eligibility Conditions: as on 01-05-2023
Age : Maximum 35 years, relaxation of 3 years for OBCs and 5 years for SCs/STs. Age relaxation for PWD candidates is as per rules.
Nature of work: The candidate will be involved in analysis of mobile app based field data, mapping Jute or other crops using time-series optical and microwave data, Crop Cutting Experiment, yield and production estimation of Jute crop and development of jute crop information system etc.
Terms & Remuneration :
• The recruitment is made purely on temporary basis for the period of one year and likely to be extended up to three years based on performance
• Consolidated remuneration will be Rs 55000/- per month which includes,
a) Salary- Rs 50000/- per month
b) TA&DA- Rs 5000/- per month (includes field visit/tour etc.)

• All eligible candidates will be called for Interview and their selection will be based on their performance in Interview.

• Minimum experience with RS & GIS tools.
